Course Overview
Early childhood covers the years from birth to around five. It’s a time of incredibly fast growth when the foundations for health, learning, relationships, and overall wellbeing are formed. During these years, children are picking up new skills and making sense of the world around them. They're learning how their bodies work, what relationships feel like, how people respond to them, and how to make sense of the world around them.
Understanding infants in the early years (0–6): Development and growth is designed to help you understand more about supporting infants to grow at their own pace, rather than pushing them to do things sooner. Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of early childhood development or learn more about your growing family, this course offers clear, practical insights in an engaging and accessible format.
This course was built to partner 'Understanding infants in the early years (0–6): Learning, behaviour and support'. You can do just one course or both courses in any order, as each explores a different part of early childhood.
